Griffon Capital Management is a privately-owned multifamily development group focused on identifying opportunistic opportunities across the sunbelt region. Griffon’s strong capital position and experienced management team enable the firm to move expeditiously to seize market opportunities and achieve above-market returns. The company is managed by a group of accomplished real estate professionals with over more than 80 years of combined experience in development, asset management, land acquisition, entitlement, and construction management space, equating to the development of over 6,700 multifamily units across the nation.

The Team

Mr. Hammonds is a second-generation real estate developer with 30 years of real estate experience. In 1989, he purchased his first 224-unit multifamily project in Corpus Christi Texas and from this he grew a portfolio to include thousands of multifamily units, office buildings, retail shopping centers, mini storages, hotels, industrial properties, single family dwellings, and retail ground leases. He owns Apartment & Commercial Services, Inc. a management company that manages all of these family owned investments.

Over the last five years he has been actively involved in the development of six multifamily properties from land acquisition through the construction and the ultimate sale of these properties on North Padre Island and Port Aransas Texas, delivering tremendous double and triple digit returns on his equity investment. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of IBC Bank Corpus Christi Texas. He has served as past president of the Corpus Christi Apartment Association and previous board member of the Texas Apartment Association. Willard graduated from Texas A&M University College Station with a BBA in Finance and a concentration in Accounting.

Rocky is a third-generation real estate developer with over 30 years of experience in construction management, asset management, and development. Along with single-family home and lot development experience, Rocky has developed over 2,700 multifamily units in Texas, California and Missouri. Rocky is an active supporter of his alma mater Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Jay has over 22 years of experience in the land acquisition, underwriting, entitlement, financing, development, construction management, leasing and asset management of multifamily, mixed-use, retail and commercial properties in Texas, California (Northern and Southern), Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Idaho. Jay has been in involved in the acquisition, entitlement and development of over 4,000 residential units, 2,000,000 s.f. of retail / commercial space, two hotels and a vineyard. Jay holds an AA from Brookhaven College, a BA from the University of Texas at Dallas and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA.
